IFS Build By Bill Baird Motorsports

Complete IFS System for Off Road Racing - Independent suspension is a broad term for any automobile suspension system that allows each wheel on the same axle to move independently of each other due to rough or uneven terrain. The relative movement between the wheels and the differential is achieved through the use of swinging drive shafts connected via constant-velocity (CV) joints. This differs from a straight axle, live axle or beam axle system, in which the wheels are linked and movement on one side effects the wheel on the other side.

Independent Front Suspension offers better ride quality and handling characteristics at higher speeds, due the ability of each wheel to address the road undisturbed by activities of the other wheels on the vehicle.

Independent suspension requires additional engineering effort and expense in development versus a beam or live axle arrangement. A very complex IRS solution can also result in higher costs. Bill Baird Motorsports is able to help you avoid these higher cost. Bill Baird and his team of highly skilled engineers, fabricators and experienced racing crew, have been hard at work enhancing their design. And now, after racing in the Ultra4 Series for the past few years, Bill Baird Motorsports is ready to release this superior IFS System to the off road racing competitors looking to advance into a new age of high speed desert racing, while maintaining outstanding rock crawling abilities.

So the Big Question everyone ask is what does something like this cost? If you want everything that you see here as is in this photo the retail price is $35,687.61.
